§ 11-22. Unlawful to injure, deface, destroy, etc.—Private property; real or personal.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person, unless authorized, licensed or invited, to injure, deface, defile or otherwise destroy the property of another, either real or personal, without the consent of the owner thereof. In any prosecution or trial or any person charged with violating this section, the violator shall have the burden of proving that he had the consent of the property owner or the authorization, license or invitation.
