§ 8-22.2. Enforcement through foreclosure.

  • (a)

    The city attorney may, without prior city commission approval, institute foreclosure proceedings to foreclose any lien imposed pursuant to this article.

    (b)

    The owner of the property against which the lien exists shall be liable to the city for reasonable attorney's fees together with all costs incurred in foreclosing the lien. The judgment rendered in the foreclosure proceeding shall determine the principal, costs and attorney's fees to be chargeable against the property so encumbered and such amounts shall constitute an additional lien against the subject property.
