§ 7-12. Fire vehicle accessibility.

To ensure fire vehicle accessibility on all city roads, all construction and improvement of city roads shall comply with the following:
(a)

All outside turning radii shall be at least sixty (60) feet.

(b)

All dead end roads exceeding three hundred (300) feet shall have a turning area at the closed end of no less than one hundred (100) feet in diameter. If the turning area has an obstruction in the turning area, a sixty-foot outside radii with a fifteen-foot width shall be required.

(c)

Dead-ends exceeding one hundred fifty (150) feet shall have a turning area and be the type and size approved by the fire marshal.
