§ 22-11. Removal of members.

  • (a)

    The city commission may remove any member of the board who is convicted of a felony while a member of the board or who fails to attend four (4) consecutive regular meetings of the board, unless such absences are each excused by motion setting forth the reason for the absence duly entered upon the minutes of the board.

    (b)

    The city commission may further remove a parent or business representative member of the board for good cause upon a majority vote of the city commission. Good cause shall be defined herein as:

    (1)

    Four (4) successive un-excused absences.

    (2)

    Failure to perform and perceive the functions and duties of a member of the charter school advisory board.

    (3)

    Any other factor or matter within the legislative discretion of the city commission which may be considered in determining the individual membership of a charter school advisory board member.
