§ 3.07. Duties of Mayor and Vice-Mayor.

  • The Mayor is a Commissioner elected at large who shall preside at meetings of the Commission, shall be recognized as head of city government for all ceremonial purposes, by the Governor for purposes of military law, for services of process, execution of contract, deeds and other documents, and as a city official designated to represent the city in all agreements with other governmental entities or certificates to other governmental entities but shall have no administrative duties except as required to carry out responsibility herein. The Vice-Mayor is a Commissioner who is elected by the Commission and shall act as Mayor during the absence or disability of the Mayor.
