§ 6-7. Precincts, boundaries; polling places.

  • (a)

    Precincts. The city commission shall review the total number and the boundaries for each precinct as proposed by the Broward County Supervisor of Elections. Whenever that information fairly reflects the requirements of the State Election Code, the city commission shall concur by resolution with the proposal.

    (b)

    Polling places. Upon identification of the precincts for an election, the city clerk, in conjunction with the Broward County Supervisor of Elections, shall contract for, or establish, one polling place for each precinct. Each polling place shall meet the requirements established by the State Election Code.
