§ 2-114. Fire and emergency medical service program.
The city shall have the power to create, install, improve, repair, maintain and fund any and all costs associated with the city establishing and operating a city system of providing quality fire control and prevention ("fire"), emergency medical services ("EMS"), or both, to the property owners, residents and citizens of the city. The recipients of the city fire and EMS program will enjoy protection and enhancement of public safety by the provision of reliable and effective service to persons who own or use such property, and enrichment of property value and minimization of potential liability attendant with the use of the assessed property. The cost allocation formula and other details of the assessment program will be set forth in the intent resolution.
