Article II. CORAL SPRINGS CHARTER SCHOOL ADVISORY BOARD |
§ 22-9. Qualifications of membership.
The qualifications for membership shall be as follows:
(a)
The city commission's educational and administrative appointee shall demonstrate definable experience in administrative matters in an educational setting and shall serve a one year term commencing October 1 until September 30.
(b)
Each parent member of the board shall have a student enrolled in a Coral Springs Charter School. As no students will be enrolled at the time of the appointment of the initial parent members of this board, the initial parent members are exempt from this requirement.
(c)
Each business representative serving on the board shall either reside in the City of Coral Springs or do business within the boundaries of the City of Coral Springs, evidenced by a valid, current occupational license issued by the City of Coral Springs;
(d)
Each applicant shall indicate his or her interest in becoming well-versed with the City of Coral Springs Charter and Code of Ordinances as the same may apply to the operation and administration of the Coral Springs Charter School and shall be further interested in the development and operations of the Coral Springs Charter School programs to best serve the health, safety and welfare of the citizens and residents of the City of Coral Springs and Broward County, Florida.
