§ 18-14. Parking for customers only.

(a)

No employees shall park any motor-driven vehicle in master parking spaces reserved for customer parking pursuant to Section 250140 of the City's Land Development Code.

(b)

Enforcement and penalties.

(1)

Violations; liability for payment of parking ticket violations. The owner of a vehicle cited for violation of this section shall be responsible and liable for payment of any parking tickets. The owner of a vehicle is not responsible for parking ticket violations if the vehicle was, at the time, stolen or in the care, custody, or control of some person who did not have permission of the owner to use the vehicle.

(2)

Ticketing procedure. Vehicles parked in violation of this section shall be ticketed by the Coral Springs Police Department, Code Enforcement Division of the Coral Springs Fire Department, or any other authorized personnel, said ticket to be affixed to the offending vehicle.

(3)

Refusal to accept and sign citation or "notice to appear." Any person who willfully refuses to accept and sign a citation or " notice to appear" issued pursuant to this section shall be guilty of a separate violation and that person may be arrested by any law enforcement officer of the City of Coral Springs.

(4)

Penalty. A fine of thirty-two dollars ($32.00) shall be assessed for each violation of this section. Should the responsible party elect to proceed in the court of competent jurisdiction, section 1-8 of the Code of Ordinances shall apply.
