§ 17-16. United States, State of Florida, public entity, recognized church, exempted from payment of tax.

The United States of America, State of Florida, political subdivisions and agencies thereof, as well as any other public body and any recognized church in this state for uses exclusively for church purposes, are hereby exempted from payment of the taxes levied by this article. The tax shall not apply to purchases of bottled water, except as otherwise provided herein.
