§ 16-7. Camping prohibited; exceptions.

  • (a)

    Camping, for purposes of this section, is defined as follows:

    (1)

    Sleeping or otherwise being in a temporary shelter out-of-doors; or

    (2)

    Sleeping out-of-doors; or

    (3)

    Cooking over an open flame or fire out-of-doors.

    (b)

    Camping is prohibited on all public property, including all public parks, rights-of-way, and non-designated areas, except that which is authorized by the appropriate governmental authority.

    (c)

    Camping is prohibited on all property in the city used for residential purposes, provided, however, that camping is permitted on such property with the permission and consent of the property owner.
