§ 12-41. Retirement plan established; name; operative date.

(a)

A retirement plan is hereby established and placed under the exclusive administration and management of a board of trustees for the purpose of providing retirement benefits pursuant to the provisions of the plan and Chapter 175, Florida Statutes, and for defraying the reasonable expenses of the retirement plan.

(b)

The retirement plan established by this article shall be known as the City of Coral Springs Firefighters Retirement Plan.

(c)

The retirement plan shall have an effective date of February 8, 2003. [It should be noted that the retirement plan has a retroactive effective date of December 31, 2002.]
