§ 11-3. Alcoholic beverages; possession and consumption on any public street, sidewalk, right-of-way, or in public places.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to drink or consume any alcoholic beverage or possess any unsealed or open container of any kind which contains any alcoholic beverage, while on any public street, sidewalk, right-of way, in any public park, parking lot or in any other public place, except:

    (a)

    Areas which are licensed by the State of Florida for the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages;

    (b)

    At special events which have received a temporary use permit in accordance with the City Land Development Code section 1015, and which permit expressly allows alcoholic beverages to be dispensed;

    (c)

    Pursuant to section 16-2 of the Code of the City of Coral Springs; or

    (d)

    Pursuant to any other express exemption established by commission actions.
