§ 11-24. Same—Trees, shrubs and plants.

It shall be unlawful for any person, unless authorized, licensed or invited, to cut, root up or otherwise injure or destroy any tree, shrub, plant or other growing thing on public or private property without the consent of the owner thereof. In any prosecution or trial of any person charged with violating this section, the violator shall have the burden or proving that he had the consent of the property owner or the authorization, license or invitation.
